Hey Hi!

Started new ??..and struggling to get a foot in the door?

I understand how it is like to start a new thing and be clueless at times. There are a lot of questions that keep cropping up in your mind that you don’t know the answer to, ending up giving you panic attacks.

Relax, you’ll find a lot of your answers here…

Firstly, I would like to congratulate and appreciate you for taking that first step. Once started, taken that plunge, consider yourself almost halfway there.

Starting out requires the most amount of courage and there is no better time to start than now. If you are moving in the right direction, you will get to witness the domino effect in your business and growth in no time at all.

I, who has been in this business for the past 10 years now, haven’t come across a single startup or a company that hasn’t faced teething troubles in its days. Some of the basic struggles that almost all businesses deal with are:-

  1. Hiring The Right People
  2. Retaining The Talent
  3. Getting The First Few Customers
  4. Building The Brand.

How about if I tell you, a few other crucial things that we fail to acknowledge after starting out. Yes, there are other important things than the ones mentioned up there. Important enough, to make you climb the success ladder in a much lesser time than expected.

And they are:-

  1. Understanding Marketing Fundamentals:

It is always advisable to have a basic understanding of marketing concepts. If the objective of your business is to sell more products or services, then marketing is the tool that can help you achieve that goal. It does a great job of building your brand and capture a position in the minds of the customer.

And believe me, no one can market your products better than you can.

Marketing is the 2nd most important thing in the business that can get you success, the first is still the ‘Product’.

Note: If you do not have a good product, marketing will only accelerate the death of your company. So rather than concentrating on building a great marketing strategy for an average product, work on building a great product, that can sell for itself.

Marketing is perception. A perception that can change the entire game.

Read this-

In the year 1982, an author named Naura Hayden wrote a book called Astro- Logical Love. Now, what does the cover tell you about the book? Nothing much right?

So that’s what reflected in the sales too. People didn’t know what it was. The book, out of the first 5000 copies that were published, sold only 2000 copies.

The author had to give out all the other 3000 copies to the book stores and flea markets. And there it was sold only for 99 cents. That’s under a Dollar.

But accidentally, a publisher happened to pick this book and read it. And He was like- Hey, this is a great book about how to seduce women.

So what he did was, he met this author and bought the rights to the book. He did not change a single right word in this book. All he did was, change the title and cover of this book. He changed the copy of the title.

And after that, the book sold 2.3 million copies.

You wanna know what the new title was.

‘How to satisfy a woman every time?’

Now this title was intriguing and got people to pick up this book and actually purchase it.

This is how a simple change in the marketing strategy, changed the fate of this book.

But this could happen, only because the product was good.

Marketing is a great tool if used wisely.

2. Implementing The Right Mix Of Digital And Traditional Marketing.

Nowadays marketers believe that the only way to market any product is by going digital. And rightly so, as the majority of the population is there on the digital platform.

But we cannot ignore the fact that there is still a section of people that watch TV, read newspapers, listen to the radio, etc.

Before preparing the marketing blueprint for your product, we need to keep in mind what section of people we are targeting.

If It is the youth or the people living in tier 1 and tier 2 cities, you can easily go for digital marketing more. And if you are targeting people from tier 3 cities and a little older section of people, then it is advisable to include traditional marketing in your overall marketing plan.

3. Implementing The CATT Marketing Funnel

You must be wondering, what this funnel is all about?

According to CATT funnel,

Wealth = N^CATT

Where ’N’ is your Niche.

You choose a market that has not been exploited before and has a lot of needy customers to cater to.

To choose the right niche, you got to have an understanding of your talent, passion, and market. Only the correct combination of these three can bring forth your right niche.

The next in the formula is ‘C’.

‘C’ is nothing but the content. Writing content that is useful for the customers, which gives them the satisfaction of fulfilling their needs, is what attracts people the most.

Then comes ‘A’.

‘A’ is Attention. Driving attention ( traffic) to your content using SEO, social media marketing, paid ads, and referrals. This is where our true social media marketing skills come into play.

After attention, it’s ‘T’.

‘T’ is Trust. Another very important factor that can make your business grow multifold. And trust is something that cannot be achieved overnight. You have to keep putting in the effort.

In modern-day marketing, this can be achieved through tripwires, marketing automation, and retargeting.

And the last one is ‘T’ again.

The ‘T’ here, stands for Transaction.

Try and convert your leads into customers. It is the lifeline of your business. It could be done through natural sales methods.

4. Integrated Digital Marketing Strategy

While planning your digital marketing strategy, make sure you keep the right blend of both paid and organic marketing strategies in your overall plan.

Paid advertising is a tool for a solid start and to boost the momentum whenever needed. Whereas, organic marketing strategies help in the smooth sailing of our marketing plan.

Start with plans or tactics that can get you instant attention. This could be- providing them with the free content, content that you have on your blog, youtube channel, etc.

Make sure that you have an attractive landing page, where you can offer them something like a bait and ask for their email ids and other contact details. This will help you in making your email list of your current and potential customers.

If there is new content or offer, you can easily send them to the entire list. This will make them revisit your site and spend some time on it. This sends signals to search engines to come and read all content- then search engines start ranking your site, blog, etc.

Sharing content on social media will get new people to come to your site. If they like your content, they will again share with other people making your site, blog a hit.

5. Personal Branding: MassTrust Blueprint

Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has famously quoted as saying, “Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room.”

In order to market your product, you should market yourself first. People should know that you are good at something only then they will reach out to you and buy what you saying or selling.

Imagine if Oprah Winfrey writes a book on how to live a successful and happy life. Wouldn’t you buy it?

Here I’m not asking you to be this famous and successful.

All I’m asking you is to tell people what you are good at. Not by talking the talk but walking the walk.

Your presence should be felt in your respective field. You should be visible in the market.

All this could be achieved using a MassTrust Blueprint.

Now, what is a MassTrust Blueprint?

It is another term used for people’s trust. And how you are going to build that, is what you are going to learn following MassTrust Blueprint.

This blueprint is basically a vicious circle

A vicious circle of neverending learning, working, blogging, consulting, mentoring, and start-up.

  1. Learn- new skills
  2. Work- put your newly learned skills to work.
  3. Blog- write about what you have learned and experienced.
  4. Consult- now that you have worked and gained enough experience in that skill. You should now start consulting others.
  5. Mentoring- mentor others who want to become like you. This is your chance to give back.
  6. Startup- After a thorough understanding of the market, you should now get started with your own new product or service business.

Even after establishing the business, you will have to keep the learning process on, learning new skills every day in order to survive the cut-throat competition and emerge as the market leader.

As I told you, this is a vicious circle.

Conclusion

Having the knowledge and implementing it, are two different things. The one who implements it is bound to have an upper edge over the other, deciding the future of the person. This is what sets a leader apart from the pack.
